Since 1984 Bill Worthington, owner and general contractor for Diversified Shelters, has taken pride in building "homes", not houses. And when we say that we are custom builders - we put a whole new meaning into the word. To our way of thinking, "custom" means unique to the customer. Each project is as individualized and diverse as the customers we serve. To that end, each customer works directly with the builder, eliminating a job site supervisor or other middleman. This means the chances for miscommunication are greatly reduced, with the end result being a home, a room addition or a remodeling project that is an exact reflection of your wants and desires, uniquely tailored to you!
Bill Worthington is a "detail" person, having learned from his many years in the business that a quality home can be won or lost in the details. Merely satisfying industry standards is not enough, as we surpass these, making good on our intention to deliver a superior quality project, whether large or small. The quality that is not readily visable is nevertheless just as important: solid foundations, framing that fits like trim, a substantial roofing system, added care for sub-flooring -- all these "extras" and more are an essential part of our total quality package.
Every person on our team was chosen for their outstanding work, excellent communication skills, and being all around great people. We are very proud of our team and we think you will be too.
